The City of Lougheed is quickly becoming one of Burnaby’s most desirable neighbourhoods, with new towers, modern finishes, and easy access to shopping and transit. But even in a brand-new or recently turned-over condo, there is always a layer of dust, footprints, and surface residue left behind from showings, inspections, and everyday traffic.
Project Information
🧹 Project: Move-In Cleaning in Burnaby
📦 Scope: Full move-in cleaning for an unfurnished high-rise condo, including floors, baseboards, kitchen surfaces and appliances (oven, range hood), bathroom, and balcony, to make the home fully ready for the new resident to unpack.
📍 Address: 3833 Evergreen Pl, Burnaby, BC – The City of Lougheed Tower 2
🏙️ Building Type: New high-rise condo in Burnaby
For this home, our goal was simple: Make the entire condo feel truly move-in ready, so the new resident could unpack and relax from day one.
A High-Floor Burnaby View, Ready for a Fresh Start

The first thing you notice in this condo is the view. Large windows and a high-floor balcony open toward the Burnaby skyline, with sunset light pouring into the living space. It’s the kind of view you want to enjoy immediately on your first evening in a new home — without worrying about wiping dusty railings or sticky floors.
After completing the move-in cleaning, the balcony and interior felt aligned with that view: clean, calm, and ready for furniture.
Floor Preparation – Two-Stage Cleaning Before You Unpack
Even when a condo looks “quite clean” at first glance, the floors usually tell a different story. Before we started, there were:
fine dust particles visible along the baseboards
light footprints and smudges in the bedroom
small specks gathered in corners and low-traffic areas
To get the floors truly move-in ready, we used a two-stage floor process:
Mopping Machine with Clean/Dirty Water Separation
First, we used a professional mopping machine that keeps clean and dirty water completely separated. This step removes the loose dust and fine particles without spreading dirty water back across the floor.
Manual Mop Finish with Clean/Dirty Water Separation
Then, we followed up with a manual mop, again using a system where clean water and dirty water are kept separate. This second pass:
smooths out any streaks
removes remaining marks
gives the floor a consistent, comfortable finish
The result is a bedroom and living area floor that actually feels clean underfoot — perfect for unpacking boxes, laying down rugs, and walking barefoot.
Kitchen Preparation – Edges, Cabinets, and Working Surfaces

The kitchen in this condo features a modern layout, flat-panel cabinets, and integrated appliances. Before cleaning, there was light dust and small particles:
tucked under the lower cabinets
along the toe-kick edge
around frequently touched areas such as handles and counter edges
A proper move-in service doesn’t just wipe the obvious surfaces. We go into the areas that quietly collect dust over time.
For this kitchen, we:
wiped down cabinet doors and handles
cleaned countertop surfaces and backsplash
detailed the lower cabinet edges and toe-kick line
refreshed the sink and faucet area
removed settled dust from corners and hard-to-reach spots
Range Hood – Polished and Ready for Daily Cooking
Range hoods are one of the most used areas in any kitchen, and even a short period of vacancy can leave a thin layer of dust or residue on the stainless-steel surface. A freshly cleaned hood instantly makes the whole cooking area look and feel newer.
In this kitchen, we:
cleaned the stainless-steel hood exterior
wiped the vent panel
detailed the underside and light area
cleaned the surrounding cabinet edges
Oven, Cooktop & Appliances – Cleaned for First Use
Many residents like to cook on their first night in a new home, so we always make sure the appliances feel ready for that moment.
For this project, our move-in cleaning for the kitchen appliances included:
cleaning the oven interior, door, and racks
wiping the gas cooktop, including burners and grates
polishing stainless-steel trims and controls
cleaning nearby backsplash and surrounding counter edges
Bathroom Refresh – Clean, Bright, and Hygienic

The bathroom is one of the first spaces used on move-in day, so it needs to feel both clean and comfortable.
In this Burnaby condo, we:
cleaned the sink and countertop
polished the faucet and chrome finishes
wiped the mirror
cleaned the tub interior
refreshed the toilet exterior and seat
wiped surrounding tiles and floor area
The result is a bathroom that feels ready from the moment the new resident arrives, with no extra wiping or scrubbing required.
Why Move-In Cleaning Matters in Lougheed and Burnaby
A proper move-in cleaning in the City of Lougheed does more than make the condo look tidy. It helps:
remove dust and residue from unit turnover and visits
refresh frequently touched areas like handles, switches, and railings
prepare floors for rugs, beds, and furniture
make kitchens and bathrooms feel truly ready for daily use
reduce the stress of your first day in a new home
When you arrive with boxes, the last thing you want to do is mop floors and scrub appliances. A dedicated move-in service lets you focus on unpacking and enjoying your new neighbourhood.
Planning Your Move-In Cleaning in the City of Lougheed
Whether you’re moving into:
a brand-new tower in the City of Lougheed,
a recently turned-over unit, or
another Burnaby condo nearby,
you can schedule a move-in cleaning shortly before you receive keys or just before your furniture arrives. Many residents choose a date between completion and actual move-in so that everything is dry, clean, and ready when they bring in their belongings.
